Our client is a Not-for-Profit passionate about combating homelessness by providing a diverse range of housing solutions across Melbourne.

They are looking for a capable contractor with strong organisation and administration skills to join them on a short term contact in Melbourne’s CBD. This would be a great role for someone with 2-3 years experience looking for that next step.

Position Overview
 
Reporting to the Director People and working closely with the Senior People Partner, the People and Recruitment Coordinator oversees HR administration, specialising in recruitment, induction, and onboarding.
 
Position Responsibilities

  • Leading end-to-end recruitment practices including drafting and posting job ads, shortlisting, responding to applications, coordinating interviews, and reference checking.
  • Coordinating induction and onboarding programs, ensuring new staff have access, equipment, and training.
  • Ensuring HR administration and compliance obligations are met through accurate record keeping.
  • Coordinating meetings, minutes, and agendas for the OH&S Committee.
  • Monitoring and actioning incoming email and face-to-face employee enquiries.
  • Promoting and modeling the organization’s values and Code of Conduct in all interactions.
  • Being flexible and undertaking other duties as reasonably directed.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience providing recruitment practices with candidate experience at the heart.
  • Experience in HR administration and accurate record keeping.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to deliver efficient administrative actions autonomously.
  • Familiarity with managing HR systems and workflows, or the ability to quickly learn.
  • Ability to quickly build trust, rapport, and collaboration across a diverse workforce.
  • High level of self-awareness and resilience.

Desirable

  • A certificate or diploma in human resources.

 
Employment Conditions
 
All staff must perform duties in varying conditions and locations. A current Working With Children Check and Police Check are required.
