: ACT Public Schools deliver quality education to shape every child’s future and lay the foundation for lifelong development and learning. Neville Bonner Primary School is a large primary school site located in North Gungahlin with around 750 enrolments and a culturally diverse community. Neville Bonner Primary School is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a process orientated approach to undertake the role of Administration and Staffing Officer. The successful applicant will undertake a variety of administration task as directed by the Business Manager including reception duties, administration support for hirers and general day to day support in a busy front office environment.
In addition to this the Administration and Staffing Officer will support the Deputy Principal and Business Manager in human resource processes in accordance with legislative policy requirements. The position requires managing staff leave for a large primary school site including both LSA’s and teaching staff. You will utilise the casual relief system KRONOS for bookings as well as managing staff data associated records in a confidential and sensitive manner. This role can be busy throughout the school day and may require you to readjust staffing accordingly. This position does require the successful applicant to start at 7:30am with the flexibility of being able to utilise flex time.
The successful applicant must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the front office and executive team as well as providing a warm and welcome customer service approach to our community.

Experience in an administration role. First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of school specific software including SentralNotes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
