: The Northside Hospital Project Clinical Director is a senior role within the NHP Team primarily responsible for the delivery of a range of time-critical procurement activities in relation to the NHP

As Clinical Director you will:

Coordinate and provide leadership in the clinical engagement required for the preparation, development and completion of health service plans, models of care, health planning unit briefs, and facility concept design processes as they relate to the Northside Hospital Project; Provide advice and input into the development of strategic, organisational and contextual planning information research and advice to clinical services and facilities for the Project; Provide high level strategic and operational advice and support to senior executives, the Northside Hospital Project Board and consultants in relation to the Project’s planning activities, including activity projections, service, capital and facility planning in relation to all services to be delivered within the new facility; Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with clinicians and Canberra Health Services and ACT Health executive team to ensure that the Project delivers on the functional and operational requirements of the hospital; Communicate effectively with key stakeholder groups in the local community and with heath care consumer representatives to ensure that their expectations for the project are appropriately considered;

Eligibility/Other requirements:

Mandatory:

Positions classified as Infrastructure Manager/Specialist require the occupant to hold recognised qualifications and/or experience in one or more of the following fields:

Professional qualifications and experience are defined as:

Engineering - a four-year degree or higher qualification accredited by Engineers Australia or Professionals Australia for recognition as a Professional Engineer,

including recognition of equivalent overseas Engineering qualifications, and a minimum of ten years relevant experience in Engineering; or

Architecture - a three-year degree or higher qualification accredited by an Australian State or Territory architecture authority for recognition as a Professional

Architect, including recognition of equivalent overseas qualifications, and a minimum of ten years relevant experience in Architecture; or

Project Management – either:
o a diploma in Project Management accredited by an Australian State or Territory tertiary education institution or an equivalent overseas qualification that is eligible for reciprocal recognition in Australia and a minimum of ten years relevant experience in project management; or
o certification by a professional body, such as the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), to the level of Certified Practicing Project Director (CPPD) Certified Practicing Portfolio Executive (CPPE), in addition to a relevant degree or higher qualification issued by an Australian State or Territory tertiary education institution or an equivalent overseas that is eligible for reciprocal recognition in Australia and a minimum of ten years relevant experience in project management; or
o have at least ten years relevant experience in project management.

Desirable:

A degree or diploma in a relevant technical field of Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or Construction Management or have demonstrated relevant experience in delivering significant capital works projects.
