Exciting and rewarding permanent full-time role as a Volunteer Coordinator responsible for the effective and efficient recruitment, processing, placement and support of Volunteers in Community Services, including the Toys ‘n’ Tucker program, Food & Financial Assistance, Mission & Partnerships and other Partnership Programs, so that the needs of staff and customers are appropriately met.

Note: Current job location is Norwest. We are relocating to Macquarie Park in 2025.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Ensure ongoing, timely recruitment of suitable Volunteers, through multiple channels, to grow adequate volunteer numbers in Community Services, Toys ‘n’ Tucker, Mission & Partnership Programs and other Partnership Programs.

  • Ensure that suitable volunteers are identified and appropriately allocated through phone interviews for progression to interviews by Community Services Managers. Facilitation of application and compliance check information to the Administration Coordinators. Ensure regular liaison with the Volunteer Manager, Volunteer Team Leader and Community Services, M&P and relevant leadership to identify priority needs.

  • Ensure that volunteers are supported and resourced by organising information for accessing Learning & Development (through Cornerstone).

  • Identify any problems or issues that the Volunteer may be experiencing and resolving them promptly.

  • Ensure that the staff in Anglicare Community Services programs (are assisted and supported where appropriate to develop a successful, well managed Volunteer program.

  • Ensure that volunteer details and compliance checks are up to date, in collaboration with the Administration Coordinator.

  • Supporting and organising recognition events, recognising years of service and debriefing with Volunteers where applicable.

Skills, knowledge and experience needed:

  • Proven track record in coordinating a Volunteer Program.

  • Experience in all aspects of volunteer coordination

  • NSW Drivers Licence

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
