EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Education Assistants 2025 (Special Needs and Classroom) – Full-time, Temporary

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified Education Assistants to join St Lawrence's Primary School, Bluff Point, in 2025. A mix of roles are available for both Special Needs and Classroom Education Assistants. The successful applicants must be passionate about students’ learning and development.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the following areas:

•    Applicants must be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
•    Have a minimum of Cert III in Children's Services or Teacher Assistant qualification or equivalent for classroom positions.
•    Have a minimum of Cert IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent for Special Needs positions.
•    Have strong numeracy and literacy skills.
•    Have excellent oral, digital and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals.
•    Show initiative, work independently and contribute to our team environment.
•    Ability to assist with the general health and wellbeing of students.
•    Assist with and support the development of teaching programs (includes working with small groups/individuals).
•    Have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Card.

Qualifications Required

•    Have a minimum of Cert III in Children's Services or Teacher Assistant qualification or equivalent for classroom positions.
•    Have a minimum of Cert IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent for Special Needs positions.
•    Have or be willing to obtain the necessary accreditation requirements.
•    Have a current Working with Children Check card.
