Position Details
Education Assistant – Full-time, Temporary
The Teaching Assistant supports teaching staff to provide for the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of students, assists with the implementation of programs for specific teaching and learning needs.
We are seeking a suitably qualified, dynamic, professional and creative education assistant, who is committed to the pursuit of educational excellence and enjoys being part of a progressive and dynamic team.
This is a full-time, temporary position commencing 1st January 2025.
Selection Criteria
• A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Positive and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability and experience to support children with high medical and mobility needs.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in an emergency.
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and initiative.
• Ability to develop a positive relationship with young children.
• An understanding of the developmental needs of young children.
• Well developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
• The ability to work across K-6 areas highly desirable.
Qualifications Required
• Certificate III or IV in Education Support (Cert IV highly desirable).
• A current Senior First Aid Certificate would be desirable.
