Job Summary

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our Regional Learning Initiatives team. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Scaling Up Success in Remote Schools Program, working closely with school leaders and teachers to implement evidence-based teaching strategies and community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional coaching and support to teachers in Kindergarten to Year 2, with a focus on modelling effective instruction and data-driven practice.
  • Work with school leaders and teachers to develop and implement community engagement initiatives, including extended learning programs and related projects.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Learning Initiatives team to design and deliver professional learning opportunities for teachers and school leaders.
  • Contribute to the development of a low-variation model of instruction across the Goldfields and Midwest schools involved in the program.
Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in teaching and current registration to teach in Western Australia.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Goldfields and Midwest region.
  • Current Western Australian driver's licence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to form trusting relationships with teachers and school leaders.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
