The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our Regional Learning Initiatives team. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Scaling Up Success in Remote Schools Program, working closely with school leaders and teachers to implement evidence-based teaching strategies and community engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide instructional coaching and support to teachers in Kindergarten to Year 2, with a focus on modelling effective instruction and data-driven practice.
- Work with school leaders and teachers to develop and implement community engagement initiatives, including extended learning programs and related projects.
- Collaborate with the Regional Learning Initiatives team to design and deliver professional learning opportunities for teachers and school leaders.
- Contribute to the development of a low-variation model of instruction across the Goldfields and Midwest schools involved in the program.
- Recognised qualification in teaching and current registration to teach in Western Australia.
- Ability to travel throughout the Goldfields and Midwest region.
- Current Western Australian driver's licence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to form trusting relationships with teachers and school leaders.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- 11.5% employer contributed superannuation, increasing to 12% by July 2025.
