The company is considering both candidates with and without commodity experience, so applications are welcome from both experienced individuals and newcomers. They are looking for candidates who possess two out of the following three skills: sales, commodity, and Japanese language proficiency.

This company operates in the global resource business, The roles involve interactions with local producers, price negotiations, claim handling, and production management. Additionally, there are responsibilities for communication with the head office, import support, and acting as a bridge between the head office and business suppliers.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Management of Metals, Mineral Resources business within Australia and overseas Liaising with business clients on matters relative to the local and overseas commodity market.
  • Seeking new business ventures within Australia in order to develop trading opportunities with the Japanese and Asian markets and investment opportunities.
  • Administration of all company matters in accordance with the Australian Corporate and legal requirements.
  • Assisting constant reporting and annual budgeting preparation.
  • Attend trip from customers / internal visitors to Australia.
  • Go on domestic and/or oversea business travel as necessary.

Selection Criteria:

  • Possess two out of the following three skills: sales, commodity, and Japanese language proficiency.
  • Have a background in commodity trading of import and export resources and other related products which will be preferred for dealing with both market of Japan and Australia.
  • Able to establish and develop both of trading and investment opportunities for minerals.
  • Have experience in international business transactions and dealing with specialists in each business field.
  • Be able to perform the duties of Manager in accordance with the local legal requirements.
  • Have a complete and extensive understanding of Japanese Head Office business practices and the associated global activities.
  • Japanese language skills (both written and oral) preferred.
