The Daracon Group is comprised of multiple businesses that collectively provide an effective and integrated civil construction service to a wide cross section of public and private clients. We engage in a broad range of construction activities including road, rail, concrete structures, landscaping, quarrying and mining and consistently deliver projects that exceed our client's needs and expectations. Daracon has developed a dedicated and motivated workforce with a broad range of expertise and a sincere customer focus.

Due to continued growth within the Daracon Group and a strong pipeline of projects, we are currently look for a Contracts Administrator to join our commercial team. We are seeking candidates based in the Newcastle Region, who have demonstrated experienced in the civil construction industry in a similar role.

Requirements

About the Role

  • Ideally have proven experience in Contracts Administration including contract preparation, negotiation and facilitation of subcontract execution and distribution
  • Experience with the administration of progress claims, including understanding Security of Payment Legislation
  • Ability to read and interpret Head Contracts and identify potential commercial risks as they apply to Daracon projects and subcontracts
  • Awareness of standard forms of contract
  • High level of direct communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Management of multiple commercial registers
  • Some site attendance across Newcastle, Central Coast or Singleton areas may be required on an adhoc basis

About You

  • Experience in building and/or engineering construction
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Have confidence in your decision making ability, problem solve and act accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills allowing you to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and subcontractors
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
