The Royal Australian Mint is Australia’s national mint and sole producer of circulating coins for Australia. We also produce circulating coins for other countries, and manufacture an array of collector coins, investor products, medals, medallions and tokens for our clients.

We are the custodian of Australia’s National Coin Collection and are responsible for collecting and preserving a representative record of Australian coinage for future generations. We also educate visitors on the history of Australian coinage, as well as how coins are produced in a contemporary manufacturing environment.

Our workplace is heritage listed and we are a unique and leading tourism attraction in Canberra. We have operated for 57 years and have 1,863 years of unique technical experience embedded in our workforce.
