Assistant Training Manager

Join Six Senses Fiji as an Assistant Training Manager and contribute to the success of our resort by developing and implementing effective training programs for our staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.
- Collaborate with departmental trainers to design and deliver training sessions that meet the needs of our staff.
- Assist in the administration of performance management systems to ensure that our staff are meeting their performance goals.
- Meet and greet new staff members and complete island induction procedures to ensure a smooth transition into their new roles.
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
- Handle all administrative requirements of the FNU Training Grants Scheme, including preparation and submission of Annual Training Plan and Training Execution.
- Serve as a link between management and staff by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and staff relations.
- Manage and maintain the Training Needs Analysis and register of completed training.
- Facilitate corporate training programs and book specialist trainers as required.
- Plan, develop, and organize training sessions and produce appropriate training materials for in-house courses.
- Regularly check staff village and restaurant for cleanliness and presentation.
- Organize and lead employee relations initiatives and actively participate in resort sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in all HR functions as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Human Resources/Industrial Relations.
- Registered Training Officer under FNU Training Grants Scheme.
- Previous experience at minimum HR or Training Officer level, preferably also experienced at counselling and disciplinary procedures.
- Strong administrative skills – intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
- International resort or hotel experience will be an advantage, along with island resort operations.
- Must be a citizen of Fiji or have current immigration status to work in Fiji.
