Job Summary

:
• Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the resort by maintaining effective relationships with all staff members.

• Assists in administering the performance management systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

• Meets and greets new staff members and completes comprehensive onboarding procedures, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.

• Provides guidance to management on organizational policy matters, including equal employment opportunity and workplace harassment, and recommends necessary changes to maintain a positive work environment.

• Oversees the administration of the FNU Training Grants Scheme, including the preparation and submission of Annual Training Plans and Training Execution, and collaborates with departmental trainers to ensure timely submission of training documentation.

• Serves as a liaison between management and staff, handling inquiries, interpreting and administering contracts, and assisting in resolving work-related issues.

• Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of staff members related to employment, compensation, labor relations, and staff relations.

• Manages and maintains the Training Needs Analysis and register of completed training, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

• Facilitates corporate training programs and arranges for specialist trainers as required, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training sessions.

• Develops and organizes training sessions, producing relevant training materials for in-house courses, and ensures their effectiveness in meeting organizational objectives.

• Regularly inspects staff village and restaurant facilities to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet organizational standards.

• Organizes and leads employee relations initiatives and actively participates in resort sustainability initiatives, promoting a positive work environment and organizational values.

• Assists in all HR functions as directed by the Director of Human Resources, ensuring seamless support to the organization.

• Proactively and compassionately handles staff needs, escalating serious matters to the attention of the HR Director, ensuring a fair and respectful work environment.

Qualifications:
• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Human Resources/Industrial Relations

• Registered Training Officer under FNU Training Grants Scheme

• Previous experience at minimum HR or Training Officer level, preferably also experienced in counseling and disciplinary procedures

• Strong administrative skills – intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

• Effective English communication skills, both oral and written

• International resort or hotel experience will be an advantage, along with island resort operations

• Must be a citizen of Fiji or have current immigration status to work in Fiji
