The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to Orrcon Steel business at our Kewdale team as an Internal Sales Representative. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

This is a 24 month fixed term opportunity in which youwill support our team by managing inquiries via phone and email. You will be great at multi-tasking and passionate about customer service, seeking new ways to improve the customer’s experience. You also enjoy being part of a productive and fun team - adding your enthusiasm and personality will really make this role your own.

What Will You Do?

In this diverse role, you’ll be a key point of contact for our customers. You will:

  • interact with our customers via phone and email, managing quotes and queries 
  • create sales opportunities through proactive selling
  • prepare and enter customer orders into our operating system
  • support the external sales teams and branch
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, warehouse, and sales departments) ensuring customer expectations and requirements are met or exceeded

More About You

You don’t have to come from a steel/industry background. Our comprehensive on-boarding program will teach you all the product and systems knowledge you need Where you will add value from day one is through your ability to understand and uncover customer needs transforming these into improved service offerings. You'll bring:

  • excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and a high standard of customer focus with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
  • high attention to detail, superior time management skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • the ability to pick up new and custom IT systems quickly
  • a commitment to your own safety and well-being while caring for others
