About the role

The Senior Events Coordinator reports to the Events Manager and will assist in the strategic development, planning and hands-on coordination of all of Activ’s annual fundraising events and initiatives that help to make life-changing differences to thousands of Western Australians living with disability.

A typical day in the role may look like:

  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, partners and sponsors.
  • Liaising with event suppliers; sourcing quotes, reviewing contracts, finalising deliverables.
  • Liaising with all levels of event participants, including corporate teams.
  • Supporting the development of various strategic plans and calendars.
  • Developing event communications; eDM & SMS, social media etc.
  • Accurate reporting; event, fundraising, financial etc.
  • Assisting with other administrative and ad-hoc duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years events experience, including across mass participation events.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
  • An understanding of fundraising and marketing principles and practices.
  • Experience in brand management and digital marketing tools.
  • Highly developed communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence and ability to maintain professional workplace relationships.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties.
  • Advanced computer skills with expertise in MS Office, campaign and fundraising platforms.
  • Ability to work outside normal operating hours, including weeknights and weekends.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
