Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator will work within the VIC/SA/TAS Regional Safety Advisory Team in a support and administration capacity. You will manage the development, implementation and oversight of the Qantas safety strategy for system, framework, policies and/or procedures. In this role you will be responsible for enhancing assurance and incident activities, providing safety data and analytical support and coordinating risk management processes and record keeping. Alongside this, you partner with the safety advisors to ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of a proactive safety culture across the Qantas team.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Diploma or Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field 2 + years experience in a Safety Coordination positions, ideally within an operational environment Sound understanding and application of WHS legislation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction from others Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret and present data. Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and flexibility A positive, results focused disposition and do not shy away from challenges being thrown your wayWhy Qantas?
