**About the role**:
MTPO is seeking to engage a Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for the ongoing management of the MTPO Safety Incident Management Systems (SIMS) and for the management of the development, implementation and maintenance of best practice safety management systems, procedures and communications.

This office-based position has employee safety systems as its primary focus and requires knowledge of safety management systems, safety legislation and experience in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and ensure successful delivery of key health and safety initiatives and programs. System analytics, identification of system improvements and reporting will all be key areas of responsibility for this position. Excellent communication and organisational skills and a strong ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders are vital.

**Key responsibilities**:
In this role, you'll manage the implementation and upkeep of employee safety systems, working closely with the Safety Team to review and refine health and safety procedures. You'll be instrumental in coordinating safety knowledge sharing, developing, and delivering safety training, and managing safety tasks such as Personal Protective Equipment and safety equipment oversight.

Your duties will also include handling safety records, improving our databases and office systems, and ensuring effective procurement and contract management for safety-related services.

**About you**:
We are seeking someone with robust experience in safety management systems and a strong understanding of safety legislation. Your excellent organisational skills will help you manage multiple priorities effectively, while your outstanding communication abilities will enable you to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders. A background in preparing reports for senior management and experience in data analysis will be highly advantageous.

While a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable, it’s your demonstrated experience and proactive approach that will set you apart.
