: An exciting opportunity exists within Transport Canberra for a transport passionate leader to join our expanding leadership team. With the construction of the new Woden depot underway so to is the search for talent to assist in the operations of our newest depot.Commencing daily at 7am, the Depot Manager is responsible for leading and managing the operations of the depot including allocation of staff and vehicle resources to achieve bus network objectives. The Depot Manager is responsible for planning, developing and maintaining rosters to ensure reliable delivery of public transport services using HASTUS and other software applications to manage and coordinate depot resources.
The Depot Manager will supervise, manage and motivate a large operational team with a strong focus on driving a culture of respect and a desire to achieve customer service excellence while promoting work safety principles.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
To be eligible for permanent employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australia citizen or permanent resident. Driver’s licence C class is essential. This position does require a pre-employment medical. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -Notes: The position will not be available until the first half of 2025; however, the successful applicant will be notified of the outcome as soon as the recruitment process is finalised. A merit list will be established and will be used to fill identical vacancies within the next 12 months. Potential applicants are encouraged to discuss the position with the Contact Officer prior to applying.
