TheBatcher role has excellent career development potential with the opportunity tolearn about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching,scheduling, and logistics whilst working in the construction industry.

Are you a self-motivated team player? We are looking for someone who ispassionate about safety, results focused with awesome communication skills, astrong work ethic and the ability to multi-task.

Candidatesfrom all industries ( hospitality, logistics, agriculture, supply chain,commerce, fast food, manufacturing, mining, health) are encouraged to apply –we’re just looking for great people with a positive can-do attitude… we’llteach the rest If you do have batching or concrete experience that’s great butit is not a pre-requisite.

In your new role with us, you will be:

Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant
Operating a front end loader (FEL) - Don't worry, we can train you for this
Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries
Working in a high performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Hanson and the customer
Able to demonstrate safety and show coach and mentoring potential
Ensure all products adhere to strict quality requirements
Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required
Managing maintenance & production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling
Delivering concrete to customers (HR licence required)

Thisrole is a great fit for you, if you:

Loader ticket and experience -preferred, but we can train the right person
Have a HR licence (preferred but not essential)
Are looking for a career change and want to work in the construction industry
Have the drive to succeed, can work and without supervision
Are an effective communicator and have a team mentality
Seek a flexible roster that includes Saturday work and reasonable overtime
Are looking to obtain a Construction Card / White Card
Are able to operate with and support our Zero Harm safety policy
Can physically perform all tasks associated with the position
