We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Concrete Production Specialist at our Concrete Plant in Orange, NSW.

This role has excellent career development potential with opportunities to learn about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling, and logistics while working in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, passionate about safety, results-focused, with awesome communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multi-task.

Candidates from all industries are encouraged to apply, and we will teach the rest. If you have batching or concrete experience, that's great, but it is not a pre-requisite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant
  • Operating a front-end loader (FEL) - Don't worry, we can train you for this
  • Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries
  • Working in a high-performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Hanson and the customer
  • Able to demonstrate safety and show coach and mentoring potential
  • Ensuring all products adhere to strict quality requirements
  • Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required
  • Managing maintenance & production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling
  • Delivering concrete to customers (HR licence required)
Requirements:
  • Loading ticket and experience - preferred, but we can train the right person
  • Have a HR licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Looking for a career change and want to work in the construction industry
  • Have the drive to succeed, can work and without supervision
  • Are an effective communicator and have a team mentality
  • Seek a flexible roster that includes Saturday work and reasonable overtime
  • Looking to obtain a Construction Card / White Card
  • Able to operate with and support our Zero Harm safety policy
  • Can physically perform all tasks associated with the position
