We currently have an opportunity for a HR Concrete Agitator Truck Driver  to join the team at the Hanson Concrete Plant, located in Orange, NSW.

This position is available to be undertaken as a full-time or casual role. Please specify your preference when you complete the screening questions.

Driving a concrete agitator truck for Hanson is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As an Agi Driver, you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different, there's nothing routine about this role

In your new role:

Most days will start between 4am and 6am and drivers can do up to 10 hours per day, and around 50 hours per week for full-timers. Saturday work is according to business needs and is paid at overtime rates
We pay a base rate and once you go past your regular hours in one day the first two after that will be at time and a half. If you do more than 2 hours overtime in a day, you go to double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift
As we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven't met before
We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads
All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself

This is a great fit for you if you have:

Minimum of HR license (essential)  with previous driving experience (preferred)
You will need to have your Construction White Card, or at least be willing to get one before you start if successful
You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you're onsite
You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks
You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Hanson sites)
Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts. For safety reasons, you may be required to be under a specified weight for these trucks.

Base hourly rate of $ per hour  plus super, overtime penalties and allowances Monthly RDO accrual (full-time only) and a weekly pay cycle Company Uniform and PPE is supplied

All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening. Random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all Hanson premises.
