Norwest Private Hospital is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista.

In this role, you will be involved in, but not restricted to:

·              Greeting patients and other customers.

·              Liaising with nursing staff to provide accurate information to relatives regarding timeframes of surgical patients

·              Preparation of patient files and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files

·              Medical record filing and distribution of discharge summaries, x-ray and pathology results

·              Providing clerical support to the NUM and nursing staff

·              Liaison with allied health, wardspersons and other hospital departments when required to facilitate patient treatments or transfers

Essential Qualities:

·              Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

·              Good oral and written communication skills

·              Well organised, able to prioritise, plan ahead and work under pressure

·              Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Webpas Medical System)

·              Previous front line customer service experience

·              Experience with medical terminology would be advantageous
