What you’ll do
Wpay are looking for an Operations Engineer to join the operations squad within Wpay. This role focuses on supporting Wpay Digital payments, Online Applications like Everyday Pay, Gift Card Application and services , WPAY APIs , Microservices involved in providing WPAY payments and services.
As our Operations Engineer you will work across multiple technology stacks to work on incidents and problems across Wpay’s payment and gift card applications. Your primary responsibility is to investigate issues raised to the team and drive them to resolution.
You will also be responsible to reach out to various teams across the group for the purpose of incident resolution. You will review and analyse the logs performing trend analysis and instigating solutions between the responsible teams.
- Investigating and resolving incidents assigned to the team
- Work with the team and Operations Manager to meet SLAs and ticket resolution following ITIL principles
- Resolve high priority and impacting incidents within SLA’s including after hours rostered oncall
- Work collaboratively with Product Owners, BAs, Situation Management and Engineering squads - Stakeholder management resolving incidents and conflicts
- Support for after hours escalations and high priority incidents in Sitman incidents may be required
- Investigate trending Incidents and liaise with dev teams to focus on urgent issues as they occur
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrable experience in deep diving into issues across a wide range of technologies
- Understanding the usage of logging tools and dashboard creation - Splunk, Dynatrace
- Experience with Akamai, DNS, Firewalls, load balancers and networking technologies
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, Kubernetes, GCP etc)
- Experience with REST APIs / Microservices
