The Role
The Maritime Cross Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO) is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Governance Team Leader to join its dynamic Assurance and Performance team.

The successful candidate will lead, plan and manage assurance checks on logistics activities in support of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Utilising a range of processes and technologies (e.g. audits, desk-top reviews, research, market analysis, etc.), the role will analyse and report on logistics planning, practices and processes, technical regulation controls and Industry Partner deliverables. 

The successful candidate will apply expertise in legislation and logistics policy to provide advice on governance matters. You will identify and manage logistics risks, issues and opportunities, with recommendations for changes to ensure compliance and to improve supply chain resilience in support of the current and future needs of the ADF. 

About our Team
The Maritime Cross Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO) within Maritime Systems Division, is the lead agency for delivery of Cross-Class sustainment services and advice across the maritime environment. MCPSPO sustains and manages a range of complex military systems and supplies, through an extensive network of industry partners, domestic and off-shore. 

Our operating environment is complex and challenging, and requires exceptional communication and relationship management skills. MCPSPO is comprised of three functions, including Commercial, Sustainment and Engineering cells. 

The teams work in a complex, fast paced environment as part of a diverse and inclusive Branch environment that encompasses a variety of knowledge, skills and experience within a supportive hierarchy. You will be working with talented colleagues, who will provide you with guidance and support to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed as a key member of the MCPSPO Assurance and Performance Team.

Our Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

Sound knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements; Ability to exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures; Accountability for accurate completion of work within timeframes, share own expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees;  An excellent level of stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholder’s needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes;  Relationship management experience and an understanding of contract management principles; Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise correspondence, briefs and reports; Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn and understand the sustainment environment, Defence Seaworthiness and Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) practices within the domain; Ability to work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work; and A growth mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a successful team environment.
