**The Role**
Utilising a range of processes and technologies (e.g. audits, desk-top reviews, research, market analysis, etc.), the role will undertake the Supplier Assurance activity and report on performance, practices and processes, technical regulation controls and Industry Partner deliverables.
As the Supplier Assurance Officer, you will work within a team to plan, lead and manage quality assurance, governance and reporting activities. Duties will be performed within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s mission and business objectives.
You will have experience with and knowledge of quality assurance requirements and will be responsible for the development, implementation, compliance and review of policies and procedures relevant to the work.
**About our Team**
The MCPSPO and its network of industry partners, sustains a range of complex military systems and equipment that is integrated in various ship Classes across the Royal Australian Navy fleet. We are the lead agency for delivery of cross-Class sustainment services and advice across the maritime domain.
The MCPSPO forms part of the Maritime Support Branch within the Maritime Systems Division of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. Our operating environment is complex, requiring exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
We are a diverse workforce which includes Australian Public Service staff, Australian Defence Force personnel and Defence industry partners. You will be working with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues, who will provide you with guidance and support necessary to succeed as a key member of the MCPSPO team.
- Perform and monitor governance, assurance, auditing and corporate reporting activities,
- Accountability for accurate completion of work within timeframes, share own expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees.
- An excellent level of stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholder’s needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
- Relationship management experience and an understanding of contract management principles.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise correspondence, reports and briefs.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn and understand the sustainment environment,
- Defence Seaworthiness and Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) practices within the domain.
