About the role

We are currently seeking a National Design Leader to join our Rail Operations Business Unit.

Key responsibilities

Develop and Lead the design capability within Rail Operations Technical Function Lead the selection process for design consultants for Rail Operations bids and relevant projects across multiple sectors Collaborate with bid and project leaders to identify, assess, and manage design risks across all bids and projects, ensuring robust risk mitigation strategies are in place Oversee the design process for bids, including the formulation of design methodologies and the management of design and technical risks Provide continuous oversight and conduct regular design health checks on Rail Operations projects to ensure adherence to design standards and project objectives.

About you

15 years design and/or construction experience in the Rail Sector including: Overhead Wiring Design Rail Earthing and Bonding Design System Design (Technical Application, Components, Assemblies) Tramway Systems 1500V DC Systems 25kV AC Systems – Booster Transformers and Autotransformer Detail Design (Allocation and location specific design) Tramway Systems 1500V DC Systems 25kV AC Systems – Booster Transformers and Autotransformer An established relationship with rail authorities across Australia Degree in an Engineering Discipline Experience with delivering and managing multi-disciplinary designs
