About the Role

An opportunity exists for an Aboriginal Case Manager at the Royal Children's Hospital, providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and their families with a range of medical and social complexities.

The successful applicant will provide culturally appropriate and sensitive assessment through engagement, advocacy, advice, discharge planning and referral pathways.

This is a full-time fixed term role until 31 March 2026.

Classification for this position Community Development Worker Class 2B Year 1 – Year 6 (XX7 – XX12), $81,796 to $94,759 per annum, plus superannuation).

To be successful in the role, you will have: 

  • A commitment to improving the overall health of Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal culture, values, and history.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal children and families.
  • Understanding of social and trans generation issues impacting on Aboriginal Health and well-being
