Financial Accountant


About the role:

You will deliver full month-end close and other finance functions such as preparation of accurate journals, profit and loss & balance sheet analysis, preparation of month-end financial reports, tax accounting including BAS and FBT, and external audit.

You will also support both the Finance Manager and Financial Controller in providing analysis of business performance, the development of financial models for budgeting purposes and the creation of financial reports as required.

Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Acquittal reporting for government grants. Deliver high quality analysis and evaluation of financial information and issues to support senior management decision making. Ensure accurate reconciliations with understanding of the transactions and minimisation of reconciling items.

We offer a hybrid working model, with 1 day a week (usually Tuesdays) in our Bella Vista office and the rest from home.

About you:

Previous experience with the Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) Chartered accounting background (Qualified CA or CPA) Strong analytical, communication and organisation skills Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure Ability to build strong relationships within a multidisciplinary team Ability to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and potential solutions Advanced computer skills including Google suite and Microsoft (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Any previous experience within the Aged Care industry would be advantageous but not essential.
