Currumbin RSL & Services Memorial Club Limited is a very popular venue with a fantastic food offering that everyone can enjoy. Set on the foreshore of Currumbin Creek, we pride ourselves on the experience and service provided to our customers, and the culture enjoyed by our team.

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate must be someone who has good communication skills, a great team mindset and is comfortable working in a large high volume and up tempo kitchen. 

Key Criteria:

• A passion for the industry and a commitment to a successful career in hospitality, demonstrated through the ability to plan and organise the preparation and cooking, reporting directly to the Head Chef for overall kitchen operations.
• A friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude at all times, essential when working collaboratively with kitchen staff
• Sincerely enjoys working with others and thrives in team environments, ensuring the smooth execution of daily tasks and coordinating with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen efficiency.
• Possesses a creative flair and excellent presentation skills, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that meet the establishment’s standards, while maintaining innovation and quality.
• Thrives under pressure, especially in high-demand environments, while ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes at all stages of preparation
• Maintains and exceeds overall minimum standards by enforcing hygiene regulations and monitoring dish quality
• Ability to work multiple sections – grill, pans, fryer, larder – ability in planning food operations, preparing menus, and managing food supplies, ensuring kitchen tasks are completed to a high standard.

Essential requirements:

• Related qualifications (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management highly desirable)
• Proven experience as a Chef - min. of 2 years
• flexibility with roster
• fluency in English
• excellent interpersonal communication skills
• be extremely reliable and punctual 
• work with minimal supervision and be a great team player.
