Our organisation is constantly growing, with many homes and thousands of residents and employees across Victoria, New south Wales and Tasmania. Respect also has home care services in multiple states, and more than 700 units in different retirement villages and independent living communities.

The position:

The Clinical Learning and Development Officer is responsible for designing, developing and deliver educations resources for the Organisation. On a day-to-day basis, this position will report to the Chief Quality and Risk Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive culture for learning and development for all staff within the Organisation
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in identifying areas for continuous improvement to support quality and compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in the development of projects to support quality and compliance.
  • Assist and support the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in the development and implementation of best practice policy and process.
  • Monitor and support management with education platform completion rates, assist and support to gain compliance through LMS.
  • Deliver education both face to face and via Teams based on legislative changes/requirements and Organisation need.
  • Develop clinical education toolboxes and resources for RAC/ HC
  • Contribution to monthly Quality Newsletter – L&D section/updates
  • Create and execute learning strategy programs.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational development needs.
  • Design and deliver e-learning, workshops and other trainings in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Assist management to develop their team members through career pathing
  • Evaluate individual and organizational development needs

  • Developing instructional materials – competencies, tool box sessions
  • Evaluating the results of training programs

Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Equivalent is essential with current AHPRA
  • Experience as an L&D educator, Training Manager or similar
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience with instructional design in building online resources for use in Learning Management System
  • Ability to travel to deliver face to face education and training. 
  • Highly effective communication, leadership and relationship management skills
  • An understanding of Residents Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
  • NDIS Worker Screening certification

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care and Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Management experience within the Aged Care Sector
