About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Port Arthur. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the communication and learning needs of children and young people in our schools and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide support to students individually or in groups to help them participate at school and achieve the best outcomes.
  • Work closely with families, teachers, and other support services to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive and evidence-based speech and language pathology service that meets the needs of our students and families.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to identify and address communication and swallowing needs of students.
  • Provide supervision, clinical support, and mentoring to less experienced Speech and Language Pathologists.
Requirements
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
