The Client & Role:

We’re currently working with a global fin-services client to source an IT Asset Administrator to help centralise and maintain their IT Assets within ServiceNow. There will be an ongoing responsibility in maintaining this accurate central inventory of IT Assets. As well as coordinating licensing and renewal activities associated with the ongoing lifecycle management activities associated with these IT Assets and conducting regular audits and overseeing asset transition processes that ensure asset register accuracy.

This role will be on a daily rate basis with budget of up to $550 per day inclusive of 11.5% super, the initial duration will be for 6 months with this role to be envisioned as a long-term engagement that consistently extends with the organisation. The client operates 3 mandatory days per week on-site from their Melbourne CBD office.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer IT Asset registers.
  • Track the lifecycle of IT Assets including their timely procurement, delivery, implementation, and disposal.
  • Coordinate the renewal of software licensing agreements with the IT Business Management Team.
  • Oversee the compliance to software licensing agreements.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure IT Asset registers are being maintained accurately.
  • Assist in operational Asset transition & environment management activities.
  • Coordinate activities with IT Vendor Manager as needed.
  • Engage with external vendors and service providers for asset and licensing administration.
  • Consult with IT Managers, Team Leaders, and Project Managers.
  • Identify and implement process improvement.
  • Analyse and recommend IT policies and procedures.
  • Work within delegations and separation of duties requirements.

Required Skills & Specialisms:

  • Qualifications in IT or Business Administration or Procurement is advantageous.
  • Office 365 including MS Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience using ServiceNow is mandatory.
  • Working understanding of ITIL is advantageous.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of ICT services, hardware, and software.
  • Practical experience working within an IT and/or project team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence others
  • Proactive, self-starter, and approachable with a positive outlook.
