At BlueCross our aspiration is to create ‘a new age of living’. Our proud and dedicated team strives to deliver this vision across our 31 residences and homecare located in metropolitan and regional Victoria.
The Residence Manager is required to lead and develop an effective, empowered and efficient team of staff within a designated residence to deliver high quality care and service to residents of BlueCross.
This role is a senior management role within the Residential Business Unit at Box Hill .
Reports To: Regional Manager
Qualifications / Experience / Skills Required / Personal Attributes
Essential
• Experience in aged care management in a large residential setting
• Demonstrated understanding of quality management systems
• Previous experience in the recruitment of staff, rostering and performance management
• Highly organized – demonstrates can manage own responsibilities and priorities and assist others to do
the same.
• Previous experience in building and maintaining a large team.
• Proven ability to manage to a financial budget and ensure overall profit result is achieved.
• Proven ability to manage conflict situations.
• Demonstrated high level of Computer literacy – particularly Outlook, Word, Excel
• Ability to provide staff training and coaching
Desirable
• Registered Nurse Division 1 with current registration
• Tertiary qualifications in Gerontology and / or Business Management
