Family Description

Customer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimising, operating, and maintaining phases.

Subfamily Description

Managed Services (MSE) is responsible for keeping the network running and proposing / conducting network upgrades based on business requirements. Covers technical managing and operating of agreed components of IT and telecommunications services provided to end users of Nokia customers, within contracts agreed with those customers.

We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative Solution Architect/Data Engineer to join our Transformation Office. This role is critical in defining and designing the frameworks that will support automation and transformation initiatives within MS. As a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will collaborate closely with DevOps teams, transformation stream leads, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design: Define and design the architecture for automation and transformation initiatives within MS operations, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

Framework Development: Develop and implement frameworks that support the automation of MS processes, including data pipelines, integration strategies, and system interoperability.

Collaboration with DevOps: Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code practices into the MS environment.

Data Engineering: Design and implement robust data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time processing systems to support transformation initiatives.

Solution Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to recommend the best-fit solutions for automation and transformation within the MS landscape.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with transformation stream leads, product owners, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and customer needs.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Documentation and Standards: Develop comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design documents, and best practices guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in implementation.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving existing systems and processes, driving continuous enhancement in efficiency and effectiveness.

Security and Compliance: Ensure all solutions are designed with security and compliance requirements in mind, adhering to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in solution architecture or data engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks and data architectures in a Telco MS environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies such as Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • In-depth knowledge of automation tools and frameworks relevant to Telco MS operations.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities and projects.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
