About the Role

Imagine being part of a team that turns messy, scattered data into valuable property insights used by real estate agents, banks, and even government agencies. That’s what we do in the Single View Property (SVP) team at Domain. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll roll up your sleeves and help us tackle complex data problems, streamline our pipelines, and build solutions that have a real-world impact. From legacy system cleanups to cutting-edge tech integrations, your work will be at the heart of shaping the property industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Build Smart Pipelines: Create and maintain data pipelines that move our insights from A to B (and beyond).

  • Integrate & Innovate: Combine data from different places into one seamless view—and dream up better ways to do it.

  • Solve Big Problems: Whether it’s a clunky legacy system or scaling up for the future, you’ll be the go-to for making things work.

  • Talk the Talk: Work closely with stakeholders (yes, non-tech folks too) to make sure everyone’s on the same page.

  • Shape the Future: Help us shift to a fully modern data platform, leaving the old stuff behind and embracing the shiny new tech.

The Tech Stack You’ll Play With

  • Daily Drivers: DBT, SQL, Airflow, Snowflake (or BigQuery).

  • Nice Extras: Python for extra flexibility, and Docker/GitHub Actions for smooth deployments.

  • Legacy Systems: A touch of SQL Server as we transition (don’t worry, it’s on its way out).

What You’ll Bring

  • A knack for building ETL pipelines and making data work smarter.

  • Deep SQL skills—complex queries? Bring it on.

  • The ability to talk tech with engineers and translate it for non-techies.

  • A love for solving challenges, whether it’s debugging a pipeline or mapping out a better system.

  • Bonus points for Python skills, experience with Airflow or DBT, or helping teams ditch old tech for something better.
