Jimmys food group is expanding rapidly and we are looking for more and more people wanting to be a part of the experience. We are now seeking an experienced hospitality professional to step into the new role of Kitchen Manager, Café allrounder/ kitchen allrounders, staff that are keen and enthusiastic to learn with a genuine passion

This role will be pivotal in ensuring effective and efficient operations. The Jimmys brand will rely on you to deliver the quality product and service that we are becoming renowned for

We need you to be hands on with in all aspects of kitchen operations.

As a Kitchen Manager, your role will involve.

  • Stock control and ordering
  • Effective management of kitchen staff ensuring quality of product
  • Staff rostering and timesheets
  • Budgeting and food costing
  • Maintain kitchen presentation, cleanliness and product integrity
  • Maintain safe, secure and healthy workplace environment
  • Opening/closing of restaurant

1. Café All Rounder

  • Greet and assist customers (bonus points if you are a wizard in remembering customers names and coffee orders)
  • Setup and pack up of the cafe
  • Take orders and handle transactions (cash handling & POS)
  • Prepare beverages (hot & Cold) and assist with basic food prep and service
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold service standards
  • Clearing and cleaning tables Possess a talent for coffee making and a deep love for everything coffee-related.
  • Be a natural team player with a lively personality
  • Be flexible and available to work varied hours and days within a 7-day week (between 6:00 am to 9:00 pm). on a rotating roster
  • Excel at crafting exceptional coffee consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have prior experience coffee establishment. Possess excellent communication skills and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience and full working rights in Australia.

If you love making great coffee and providing customers with a great experience. The best fit for this role will be someone who has worked in both front, and back of house roles and the ability to multi-task and quickly prioritise your workload.

3. Kitchen allrounder

  • Prepare and cook menu items to A++ standard (wash, peel, chop. 
  • Toasting and heating simple foods. 
  • Preparing salads, savories and sandwiches.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation (Wash and clean utensils, dishes, sweep & mop floors)
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering
  • Handle, sort, store, pack and distribute food items
  • Follow food safety guidelines
  • Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling
  • Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure consistent production daily.
  • Compliant with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Controlling cooking times and monitoring the temperature and appearance of products

4. Kitchen hand

  • Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of menu items 
  • Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation & food safety. 
  • Working under the supervision of the chef. 
  • Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves. 
  • Serve food when required. 
  • Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation. 
  • Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage

  • Help with overflow work where needed withing the cafe
  • Has minimum 1 year experience in similar roles 
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
