We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Tenure Management Officer to join us in our Engineering and Planning in Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne on a Permanent Full Time contract.
Reporting to the Corridor Protection Lead, you will play a key role in managing land tenure effectively for the operational assets required by APA.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of databases for both new and existing land tenure, agreements, and financial obligations.
- Lead the resolution of outstanding tenure issues, ensuring APA’s rights and interests, such as easements, are fully protected.
- Manage lease-related activities, including renewals, rent reviews, and terminations.
- Oversee the preparation of new leases, co-use deeds, access agreements, and any legal documentation necessary for APA’s operations.
- Ensure accurate property data and valuations to support correct rates and state land tax assessments.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on property management and land tenure matters.
Your background
- Strong knowledge of land tenure systems and legislation across Australian states.
- Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply relevant legislation as needed.
- Skilled in preparing and executing legal documents related to land tenure and land use.
- Proven experience in building positive relationships with private, corporate, and government landholders and their representatives.
- Advanced skills in stakeholder liaison, negotiation, and influencing, with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Strong commitment to safety, with adherence to safe practices and readiness to travel, including to remote locations.
