As the Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Section Leader, Resources Hub. You will provide consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs’ core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across the PU that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of people. You will set clear direction regarding client focus and responsiveness and will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs.

The Project Manager is responsible for (but not limited to) working as part of a team to provide project and design management services to the clients in the Resources and New Energy sector and must have a good understanding in managing engineering design packages and is responsible for running small and medium engineering consulting projects within Jacobs, and on small capital projects for external clients, with the necessary support and coaching from the Designated Project Executive. Design management will include multidisciplinary civil, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering disciplines. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Tertiary Qualifications and demonstrated Project Management experience in a similar Engineering/Resources/New Energy sector environment

• Hands on Project Management and Management of design risks and requirements including resources related disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineering disciplines.

• Current knowledge of project delivery methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with Resources & New Energy projects.

• Experience and demonstrated track record of successfully delivering within various aspects of project management delivery including the planning, design and commissioning processes, construction methods and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary studies and projects for resources and/or new energy.

• The ability to facilitate the production of quality documentation to enable construction and ensure project work complies with the project scope of works, statutory/regulatory requirements and client standards.

• Experience in management, monitoring and reporting of project progress, risks, financials, and issues both internally and externally, including time, cost, quality and change management.

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
