Ventia are seeking to employee a Transformation Project Manager to champion the delivery of Digital and Transformation projects for Ventia’s Defence Sector.

Reporting to the National Transformation PMO Manager, this role can be based at any of our Defence Bases across Australia. Preferred location is Perth, Western Australia.
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday-Friday 08:00am to 04:00pm (with some flexibility).
The successful candidates must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

About the role
The role requires a candidate that is solutions orientated, client centric, and driven to deliver multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to agreed upon timelines, budgets and scope including (but not limited to): 

Defining project objectives, purpose, and scope of works with relevant project approvals Organising the day-to-day aspects of project tasks including tracking and resolution of any complexities that arise, in consultation with Project Team  Ensuring all project deliverables and milestones are met, and that Project Management Framework is applied Regularly reviewing and updating project records inc. schedule to reflect any changes to scope or decisions during the project lifecycle  Supporting and overseeing all Training and Change Management activities for each project  Managing relationships with Project Teams and key stakeholders, working closely with the Project Sponsor to articulate and deliver project objectives and benefits Supporting a culture of project management discipline within the Defence workforce, utilising a standard suite of tools and processes  Traveling to various projects sites throughout Australia, as required Providing strategic direction for the project, ensuring alignment to the Defence Digital Roadmap Transformation strategy

Requirements:

Australian Citizenship Australian Driver’s License Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Suite – Excel at Intermediate to advanced level Demonstrated ability to negotiate outcomes and manage expectation with various stakeholders Experience with one of the following fields: Project Management or Asset Management (both an advantage) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening) and police check
