The Role:
Our legal team champion a culture of ethical behavior, trust and doing the right thing at Pepperstone.

In this role, you will primarily focus on advising the Pepperstone Group on matters in Australia and the APAC region, leveraging your Australian financial services regulatory experience. Additionally, you may engage in diverse legal areas, including commercial law, contracts, technology, privacy, employment, intellectual property, and anti-money laundering.
This role is flexible and can be structured as full-time or part-time, with a minimum commitment of four days per week.
As our Legal Counsel, your key responsibilities may include, but not limited to :

- Collaborate with internal teams (Compliance, IT, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to provide legal guidance and ensure consistent practices across the organization.
- Advise on corporate governance and assist with company secretarial matters.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution in collaboration with internal teams and external counsel.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, including those related to privacy and data security.
About You:
- Bachelor of Laws/JD and a current practicing certificate in Australia is essential.
- 3-6 years’ PQE in Australian financial services legal roles (both in-house and/or private practice experience will be considered).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders at varying levels and resolve complex problems both strategically and commercially
- Experience in reviewing, negotiating and drafting agreements with customers, partners and suppliers (or have the interest and ability to learn and upskill).
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere; high degree of initiative, excels under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Highly collaborative with a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to deliver results efficiently and consistently by effectively prioritising multiple workstreams
- Team player who enjoys building relationships and is willing to contribute to our great organisational culture.
- Committed to ongoing learning and development
- Current and full working rights in Australia
Why you will enjoy working with us:
