An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven finance professional to join our Southwest Regional Office in the position of Southwest Regional Finance Coordinator. The opportunity is offered on 12-month fix term contract, full time, Monday to Friday.
The Regional Finance Coordinator is responsible for accounting and financial support to the region as well as the point of contact for financial support to our volunteer sub-centres. This is an exciting and varied role where you will have the opportunity to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to the business.
What you’ll do:
- Month end process for Regional Office and career location, which includes preparation of journals and variance analysis to ensure reasonableness of financials.
- Analysis of trends and projections to facilitate setting of budget targets and drive discussions with managers of expected outcomes.
- Prepare and submit budgets and forecasts, in line with corporate timetable and guidelines and drive discussions with managers of expected outcomes.
- Provide assistance to the external auditors and contribute to the audit process as requested.
- Provide volunteer sub centres with financial guidance and training. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly review of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet Statements, responding to calls from volunteer committee members (this may involve after hours support calls) and yearly visits to locations within the Southwest region.
- Ensure month end balance sheet by volunteer sub-centres is supported by account reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc analysis and project support to Regional Team and Senior Management Accountant
- Management of Regional Finance Officer
What you’ll need:
- Ability to work with volunteers
- Ability to prioritise and time manage
- High degree of attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- CA/CPA (desirable not essential)
- Driver’s licence as the role requires travel within the Southwest region and quarterly travel to the Belmont State Office in Perth.
