As a respected non-profit organization, we are focused on serving humanity and building resilient communities, fostering teamwork, camaraderie, and collaboration among all team members - both paid and volunteers - to promote health and well-being for all Western Australians.

At St John WA, our dedicated team members, who share a strong sense of belonging and purpose, work together to deliver outstanding pre-hospital care and services, generating a revenue of approximately $500 million across 17 different services. Our team of 8500 members includes 3500 paid staff and 5000 volunteers.

  • Transport and emergency care to 410,000 individuals in need.

A Rewarding Opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to focus on volunteer training and assessment. This is a part-time position requiring availability for a minimum of 5 weekends per year (flexibility is necessary to meet training needs).

  • Equip volunteers and Country Transport Officers in the South West region with the necessary skills to fulfill their roles.
  • Deliver consistent and accurate training utilizing approved materials from the Clinical Education Department.
  • Prepare course reports to evaluate training effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Training and Development Coordinator to plan and deliver efficient training to staff within the region.
  • Assist in maintaining training equipment.
  • Support Volunteer Development Officers in ensuring effective training for desired outcomes.

Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:

  • Desirable clinical knowledge at least at the Provide First Aid level.
  • Experience working with volunteers or volunteer organizations.
  • Preferable background in the education sector.
  • Ability to travel to different regional locations for training and assessments.
  • Preferred background as a volunteer with St John WA.
