The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Theatre/Dance Teacher to join our dynamic Performing Arts team working across our Caulfield Campus. The Theatre/Dance Teacher would be teaching Years 7 – 9.
This is a 0.6 FTE 12 month fixed term position commencing Term 1 2025. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong desire to keep learning about theatre and commitment to professional development and will also be comfortable utilising the latest teaching methods in the world of Performing Arts.
A passion for participating in co-curricular Theatre and Dance programs is desirable to this role.
Key Duties
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn, including integrating formative practice and providing continuous feedback
- Prepare instructional activities that facilitate engaging and appropriate learning opportunities for all
- Provide a safe and supportive classroom culture
- Contribute to our visible wellbeing program to enable students to thrive and belong
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills and Experience
- Hold a current VIT Registration
- Hold a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge in Theatre
- Experience teaching in the MYP is desirable
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
