We are looking for Allied Health Assistants to join the casual pool at Northern Beaches Hospital. You will have AHA experience working in an acute hospital setting and be passionate about your work
About the Role
An exciting casual opportunity has arisen for Allied Health Assistants – Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy to join the Allied Health Services at Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH), providing quality healthcare to both public and private clientele.
As an Allied Health Assistant – You will be part of various program to provide functional mobility, planned exercise programs, falls prevention strategy, cardiac education and maintenance therapy. You will provide high quality services and make an impact by assisting therapy team in clinical and administrative tasks. The position will work under the direction of the Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist and assist with day-to-day activities in all aspects of care. Selection Criteria:
· Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy)
· Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
· Proven time management and organisational skills
· High standards of customer service and team approach
Additional Criteria:
· Knowledge of Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy role
· Experience of assistance with Activities of Daily Living

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant Allied Health Assistant experience against the current Healthscope– NSW– Enterprise Agreement 2023, a salary ranging from $ 27.76 - $31.39 (grading dependent) per hour plus loading.

Applicants will be required to provide a current (12 months or less) National Police check and a NSW Working with Children’s Check, prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement.
