We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our casual pool at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to patients in our acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy interventions to a diverse range of patients, including those in surgical, medical, critical care, emergency, and neurology units.
- Work collaboratively with medical officers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and timely care.
- Liaise with referrers, staff, relatives, and external agencies to support patient independence and safe discharge planning.
- Communicate assessment results and treatment implications to patients, families, and healthcare teams through verbal and written reports.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and in-service programs to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning from an acute setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization, time management, and self-management skills.
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and customer service delivery.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
