Our client is a highly reputable, family-owned manufacturing organisation who are continuously experiencing stable growth. They are currently on the lookout for an export professional to join their passionate and dedicated team, as an export coordinator.

Working within a dedicated team environment you will assume responsibility for the coordination of export documentation in this varied role.

This position will see you handling export processes including the coordination of shipments, preparation of export documents and contracts, and liaison with suppliers, clients and service providers.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Obtaining product clearances from Quality Assurance
  • Preparing and electronically submitting requests via Nexdoc to the Department of Agriculture for export permits and health certificates
  • Obtaining EDNs electronically through Nexdoc or ICS direct from customs
  •  Co-ordinating the loading of containers with warehouse and transport companies, and the lodging of PRAs once containers are loaded
  • Co-ordinating delivery of cargo to freight forwarders to LCL or air-freight cargo
  • Preparing the export documentation as required, including L/C and bank draft documents
  • Liaising with shipping lines for B/Ls and freight invoices
  • Emailing and couriering of documents to clients as required
  • Advising customers of delays or short shipments etc
  • Co-ordinating and preparing of documentation for shipments from their NZ operations
  • Electronic filing within the system
  • Reception coverage as required

About you:

  • At least 2 years experience in an Export role
  • Previous experience in agri-business / commodities industry (highly desired but not essential)
  • Strong administrative background
  • Intermediate - advanced MS Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
