About The Opportunity

We are seeking a State Manager to lead and grow our Signage & Brand Solutions team servicing Victoria and Tasmania. The state forms part of a large national business that spans Australia & New Zealand. Who provide end-to-end, brand and signage solutions in sectors such as Liquor, Automotive, Fuel Retail, Bulky goods retailers, Manufacturing, Public Wayfinding, Asset Capture and much more. This position is responsible for state P&L accountability, employee and operations management, team moral and to work to an aligned business plan. You must be strategic, always looking to provide input within the wider Property Services division.

This permanent full-time position is based in Melbourne (Notting Hill), VIC and presents an opportunity to lever your knowledge and business acumen while having a meaningful impact at work with an organisation that supports balancing your passions.

Key Responsibilities

Leveraging your strong operations background and business acumen, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee state operations
  • Coach, mentor and lead state project team members who service both Victoria and Tasmania.
  • Deliver exceptional customer relationship management and actively manage a portfolio of Tier 1 customers.
  • Partner with clients and national operations teams to achieve organic & new growth objectives.
  • Profit & loss budget management
  • Use your skills for the ongoing development of commercial proposals that are aligned to national customers.
  • Promote and develop a safety culture across the business

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude, knack for people engagement and drive for operational excellence. A background or strong knowledge of the signage, brand, print or directly related industry. Individuals who can demonstrate both operation proficiency and front end sales leadership are highly desirable.

Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Tertiary business qualification or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience working with national customers and be understanding of corporate business sales processes.
  • Demonstrated management experience including P&L responsibility.
  • Highly developed communication and robust stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Proactive approach to relationship management and business development.
  • Ability to review and sense check quoted project works, rates and assess marketability of all proposals.
