The Opportunity: 

The Senior Operations Analyst’s primary responsibility is to support the Child Youth and Family (Early intervention, PSP and PYI programs) in supporting Operation Analysts with data management, reporting, contract management, funding, systems, processes, and problem resolution. This person will work closely with Operation Analysts / Project Officers, Team Leaders, Practice Leaders, and the Community Services Manager, to ensure integrity of the data system, facilitate engagement with the funding body (Department of Communities and Justice) to improve the local supply of services, whilst building collaborative relationships and developing avenues for contract and funding management that directly contribute to better outcomes for the children and young people we support

Role & Responsibilities:   

  • Create and review systems and processes.
  • Provide evidence-based advice to support service planning and delivery, including funding consultation with DCJ to enable informed decision making and maximising client outcomes.
  • Support Operation Analysts / Project Officers in the creation of fortnightly data reports for case managers and team leaders in order to provide evidence-based analysis and advice on service delivery gaps and funding decisions that contribute to service improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with project officers liaising with case managers and team leaders on NDIS funding utilisation.
  • Undertake research, analysis, and interpretation of relevant data to inform planning and reach better outcomes for children and young people.
  • Advise, assist and manage tracking of additional funding packages that can be applied for from the funding body.
  • Enhance workflow across internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality and compliance across the program area to meet contractual obligations from DCJ as well as guidelines set out by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
  • Manage and evaluate projects to ensure alignment with relevant work plans, business strategies and organisational objectives.
  • Manage Project Officers across PSP which includes ensuring administration and documentation is maintained to a high standard, teamwork and communication with internal and external stakeholders is of a high level as well as working towards their continuous improvement and professional development.

The successful candidate:

  • You must be an analytical thinker with a strong commitment to adding value
  • Well-developed corporate functional understanding with high level relationship management skills
  • Confident, able to give clear direction and pass on key information
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multifunctional teams
    Demonstrated experience in provision of reporting to executive on performance
  • Previous experience in the social services sector
  • Tertiary qualifications in welfare/community service (desirable)
  • Current Drivers Licence
