The Opportunity
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join a cutting-edge project aimed at revolutionizing the research, drug development and clinical management of Friedreich Ataxia. As a key player in this innovative initiative, you will work with some of the world’s most advanced datasets, including TRACK-FA, IMAGE-FRDA and international data from Belgium. Your work will focus on the relationships between brain geometry and function, driving the creation of novel biomarkers that will profoundly impact the diagnosis and treatment of this rare neurological disorder.
In this role, you will lead high-quality research with limited supervision, producing influential findings and preparing manuscripts for publication in top-tier journals. You will also collaborate with international and interdisciplinary teams to disseminate your results through conference papers, seminars and impactful presentations. By engaging in collaborative project meetings and working closely with global partners, you will ensure the continuous advancement of knowledge in this rapidly evolving field and contribute to successful grant applications for future research endeavours.
We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a PhD in computer engineering, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, physics or a related discipline.
