The role
The Senior Financial Accounts Officer is responsible for supporting the Finance Team to undertake a wide range of finance and accounting related activities to ensure a smooth flow of finance, reporting and business functions. 
The role is a full-time position. They are seeking a long-term employee, offer a competitive salary and encourage a healthy work-life balance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Experience with accounting systems (ideally MYOB) and Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills;
  • General accounts payable/receivable function for multiple entities;
  • Preparation of month end for multiple entities for Management review;
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements for multiple entities;
  • Management of debtor collections and bank reconciliations;
  • Processing of prepayments, accrual and depreciation journals;
  • Cash flow forecast preparation;
  • Preparation of Fee Proposals;
  • Provision of ad-hoc information as requested;

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years experience in Accounts / Senior Bookkeeping Roles;
  • Accountant Qualification (CA or CPA would be advantageous)
  • Tertiary Qualifications (Finance or Accounting) or considerable workplace experience in similar roles;
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills;
  • The ability to problem solve;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to effectively priorities work;
  • An eager, mature, self-disciplined and positive disposition, with an ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
