About the role:
As a Senior Accounts Payable Officer, you will oversee the accounts payable process, managing company expenses, invoices, and payments with accuracy and efficiency. Your insights will help identify areas for improvement, enhancing our operational effectiveness. You will also handle the administrative tasks related to bank account operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments promptly.
- Assist with bank administration and coordinate payment settlement runs with third-party payment aggregators.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and drive efficiencies within the accounts payable function.
- Support month-end closing activities, including preparation of accounts payable reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Immediate availability.
